ArDEC 2020 Spring Internship 

This opportunity offers an intern a chance to expand their knowledge of international business
and build their market research skills, including work with databases, websites, and other digital
tools. The intern will gain real-world knowledge of regulations, processes, and other factors that
affect export markets and global business.
The hours for this position are flexible, but are expected to range between 15-20 hours per
week. The intern is supervised by the Chair of the ArDEC. Both undergraduate and graduate
students are encouraged to apply. This is a paid position.

 


Qualifications and Requirements


• Strong and consistent academic background
• Marketing skills and background preferred
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Able to communicate effectively – written and orally – in an organized, logical format
• Evidence of personal motivation, initiative, professionalism, and resourcefulness
• Demonstrably strong interpersonal skills in person and on the phone
• Able to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and email
• Interest in social media as a marketing tool
• General interest and knowledge of graphic design
• Strong administrative skills and/or event planning
• Provide general support and assistance to ArDEC Chair
• Able to assist with additional development/refinement/maintenance of ArDEC website
• At least 18 years of age
• A full or part-time student, enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited
academic institution with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
